This is a progressive, self-guided, holiday tour of a select number of the finest inns and shops that Holmes County and Ohio Amish Country have to offer! The best part is that all proceeds go to a great cause! This drive-it-yourself tour also features a sampling of the area's finest vendors and bakeries, along with a carefully selected signature cookie at each inn on the tour. You are free to collect all of the cookies or eat them as you go!
This year’s event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, December 14 and 15, 2019. Hours on Saturday are 1-7 p.m. and Sunday 1-6 p.m. you are welcome to make the stops over both days, enjoying the hospitality our region is known for. Tickets will go on sale on October 1st, and will be $45 for a two-day pass. Watch this page and our facebook page for more updates. All net proceeds from ticket sales for this event are donated back to the local community! The 2019 beneficiaries are LifeCare Hospice, serving Wayne and Holmes County residents, and the Holmes County Education Foundation which is a great financial resource for local college candidates. The Christmas Cookie Tour Hospitality Scholarship, managed by HCEF, was fully funded in 2016 with proceeds from the Cookie Tour! All high school graduates in Holmes County who are pursuing a career in the hospitality industry through college studies are eligible. Contact the Holmes County Education Foundation with any inquiries.
The Amish Country Lodging Council, operating under the auspices of the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce, is dedicated to excellence in hospitality.
